It’s no secret that moving home can be stressful, so you need a company that cares, that’s where we come in.

Be it a mansion or bedsit, everyone receives the same professionalism and attention to detail. You can be sure of a professional removal service from enquiry to completion – with complete peace of mind.

The first step is a call to our helpful and knowledgeable staff, who will talk through your requirements. They may decide to book a surveyor to come around and look at your property. It usually takes about 20-25 minutes to assess your home from top to bottom and discuss the key elements with you. We’ll then prepare a written quotation that is usually emailed across. If acceptable, we then start looking after your every need. From packing materials to provisional bookings, leave it to us.

We ensure that all your possessions are suitably protected during your move, and provide appropriate packing materials including wardrobe hanging rails, quilted sofa and armchair covers as well as floor covers and lots of van blankets for use on the day.

We regularly need to dismantle and rebuild flat-pack furniture which is never a problem and forms parts of our normal service.

Commercial Moving

Whether you are relocating office’s internally or to a new premises, here at Swift’s we have been conducting such moves for over 40 years.

We will help to plan your move so it takes place with the least amount of downtime and disruption to staff whilst also suggesting solutions to reduce the costs wherever possible.

We offer a crate rental service for the packing of files, stationary and office equipment. Crates can be packed by your staff, or we can include packing and unpacking service if requested.

European Moving

Whether your move is into a holiday home, or to a permanent home, whether you want to move a full home to or from Europe or just a few items, we are here to help. We can offer you a personal service throughout mainland Europe using our own staff and vehicles.

We can also offer a ‘part/back load’ service using our agents throughout Europe which is more cost effective for smaller consignments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will you provide boxes for hanging clothes storage?

Our estimator will have catered for these in the standard quotation. The team will arrive with the required number of boxes on moving day. Our quote includes them as standard.

Are you able to move us on Saturdays or Sundays?

We are able to offer a 7-day service by prior arrangement however most moves involving purchases tend to take place Mon-Fri due to the involvement of conveyancers and banks.

Are you insured?

Yes we are fully insured, a copy of our policy is available on request.

Are there any items that cannot be stored in storage?

We prohibit the storing of food and drink, paint, fuels, gas or hazardous chemicals. Please ask for full terms of our storage policy for all exclusions.

Can I leave my clothing in my chest of drawers?

Yes, this is a common recommendation – if you drawers are in good condition and do not contain anything breakable, then you are welcome to keep the clothing stored within.

What time will you arrive on moving day?

Unless agreed prior, our team will aim to arrive to you around 8.30am on the day of your move (the same is applicable to any days we may be with you for packing services)
